Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that I field on a daily basis. If your question is not answered here, please email me and I will do my best to answer you!
1. If I place an order today, when should I expect to receive my package? TOP
A: Since all of our carriers are made to order (except for the premades), please allow up to 2 weeks (sometimes sooner, sometimes longer) to receive your Magic Sling carrier. Often, you will receive it quicker than this, but please be aware that these are made by me, one at a time. I try to get them out as quickly as possible, but I never know how many orders will come in each week.
2. How will my order be shipped? TOP
A: We ship via USPS, by either First Class (2-5 days) or Priority Mail (2-3 days). This will be determined by the weight of the package. International orders are shipped via Global Priority Mail.
3. How long can I use Magic Sling carriers? TOP
A: Our carriers can be used for children up to over 3 years old or 35+ lbs. Mei Tais and Ring Slings can be used from birth; The Sling Tai/STDX can be used from about 5 or 6 mos. old. For more info, please refer to each carrier’s description page.
4. What kind of fabrics are Magic Sling carriers made from? TOP
A: All of our Mei Tais and Sling Tais/STDX are constructed of 100% cotton twill, paired with a cotton fashion fabric. Ring Slings can be made from varied cotton/cotton blend fabrics.
5. How do I launder and care for my carrier? TOP
A: Each carrier can be machine washed on cold and hung dry. Machine drying may or may not result in shrinkage, bleeding, or buckling of seams. The fabric is not pre-washed. By following these directions, your carrier will last a long time, through several children.
6. Can I send you my own fabric for a custom carrier? TOP
A: Yes, you may send your own fabric. There will be no extra charge at this time for this service. Please contact me via email and we can discuss it.
7. Who will make my carrier? TOP
A: At this time, I (WAHM, Melissa) will be making your carrier. In times of high volume, I will be using a garment house in Kentucky or Missouri that I have used many, many times for my clothing business. They employ mostly middle aged women, who absolutely love to sew with my fabrics, and are paid a living wage. "Fair Trade" is what they call it when you are using overseas manufacturing. I have become personal friends with a few of these great ladies.
8. What is your return policy? TOP
A. We do not accept returns for a refund, since our carriers are made to order. We do offer exchanges if you meet the conditions below. Please contact me if you are wishing to exchange and you have met these conditions.
Conditions for exchange:

Exchange must be requested within 30 days of receipt of your carrier.

Exchanges will only be accepted if the product has been grossly misrepresented or if there is a flaw in the product. Your carrier will then be replaced or fixed.

Exchanges will only be accepted if the carrier is in brand new condition.
- Exchanges will only be accepted from sales that were generated from this website. If your carrier came from a distributor, Ebay, or an individual, you must take your complaint to those persons.
If you do not care for the product upon receipt and wish to try a different one, or you change your mind about which fabric you chose, you may be able to exchange, but you will be responsible for all new shipping charges, as well as a 10% restocking fee. You must also meet the conditions above.
9. What is your policy about repairs? TOP
A: Our carriers are made to last. But, if you find that over time, your Magic Sling carrier is in need of repair, please contact me via email and we will discuss options. I will always stand behind my work and will work to make every customer happy with their carrier. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
10. What is your privacy policy? TOP
A. Magic Sling will NEVER sell your information to anyone, for any reason. Period. You may get follow up emails from me personally to see if you were satisfied with your purchase.
